For Rupal Shabnam Tyagi, the key attribute for beauty is purity. A Computer Science graduate with Post Graduation in Advanced Computing from C-DAC, she married into a family of royal lineage (Nehtaur, U.P.). She was exposed to a life of regal traditions and beauty secrets known only to blue blood – where beauty practices that had changed little over the centuries, with simple, natural products used in grooming and maintenance. Regular visits to their family owned aromatic plantations and Mango orchards stoked her interest in Aromatherapy, leading her to pursue the discipline in depth & to become a qualified Aromatherapy practitioner from London.
Taking up her passion for aromatherapy professionally, Rupal established India’s first and one-of-a-kind aromatherapy clinic in New Delhi, successfully curing serious ailments during her private practice – ones suffering from fibromyalgia, arthritis, PMS, body pain, sports injury, migraine and post operative care, to name a few. She also tended to various lifestyle disorders & day-to-day common health issues such as acne, dermatitis, sun damaged skin, ageing, alopecia in women, hair fall etc. – immensely benefiting her clients with the remedies of customized concoctions of pure essential oils and other natural products, personally curated to adhere to effective & efficient treatment.
With her training & expertise, the horizon of Aromatherapy & holistic wellness expanded in her new role as a Perfumer – Bespoke perfumes for individuals & branching out by creating premium & signature brand fragrances for corporate, retail, hospitality sectors and enterprises with Wikka Fragrance Solutions. Being a certified perfumer, she curated the very concept of building brand recall through the power of smell – these one-of-a-kind customised fragrances creating a distinct & exceptional identity of the organisation. The function is to deliver an essential boost to the mental, emotional and physical aspects of the employees / clients / guests / consumers, further encouraging desired behaviour & output through the potent power of therapeutic grade essential oils.
In depth experience in the field of aromatherapy and perfumery over the years, led her to study Organic Cosmetic Science in detail and launch her own label – where the story of Wikka began, ensuing her vision of a brand, which people can rely on. The idea was simple – recreating a world of purer times with treasures of the royal household – brewing beauty concoctions with absolute natural essentials oils, herbs & potions – healing her way through Aromatherapy & holistic wellness.
